at least there are no squats! Looks like fun to me. See my peeps @ 9:30 then a nice well needed stretch with my girl STRIKE!!!

  2. Cori

Love this one! High socks are a must for this one! Coco and I have gotten enough bruises for one week at the sandbox! :)

I almost skipped out on the last WOD, due to lack of motivation, but I decided to go ahead and do it, and DAAAAAAANG glad I did, the snatch has to be the hardest thing to teach yourself (especially the full squat) since I have never really hit a decent one I chose the 75# and I sont’t know if it was my lucky day or what, but I was able to hit every one in the full squat leaving me very confident the next time 95# should be very doable….SOOOOOOOPPER stoked right now!
Can I possibly request a return of a past WOD…BURPLE?????
    Thanks Hardcore!!!

  4. Fresh

I like this one…i won’t have any blonde moments trying to remember how many and which exercise is next…nice and simple woohoo :) see ya at TC @ 9:30am and then the sandbox in the pm with Thunder :)

What a rooster class at HQ today. Lance was full of energy maybe one to many sparks. Brett, Tator and I were fighting it out for the lead. Lance wouldn’t even let us take a breath. It sounded like he was announcing a horse race. It was awesome. I was able to RX in 9:10, I’ll let the others report their times. Great work guys. Thanks Lance for that drive it probably knocked 30 seconds off all of our times and a great way to finish out a hard week of training.

This is Memorial Day weekend. We all get to enjoy BBQ’s, family, friends and few cocktails this weekend. Remember all of our Brave warriors who have given their lives so we remain free in the greatest nation in human history. Please also remember as we speak all over the world men and women who serve in our Military are in harms way. They are seperated from their familes being shot at, blown up and attacked so that we don’t have to be. I will enjoy my weekend on the backs of people willing to die in my place. God Bless our troops, keep them safe and may their aim be truer than the enemy.

Amen Chips, nicely said. I joined the roosters at TS today for a change. Great wodding with CSI, Dirty Bird and Vegas, all of whom kicked my butt (no surprise). 16:20 I think, 95#, and I was only a few minutes late for work. Guess I need to improve my time either on the WOD or the hair and make-up, but I think this might become a regular thing for me, at least on Fridays.

  7. Spaz

Oh, and since I do not want to get in trouble with the iWOD police, my stats from yesterday:

    55#, 22:00

I really thought this would be a much quicker WOD, but those damn snatches. It’s always the snatch’s fault isn’t it? Anyway, slowed me down and didn’t make my goal of under 20.

  8. John

Great camaraderie TS 8:30 crew. Thanks Queen for the push. And the after WOD sled work(ughhh!!). Happy Memorial Day weekend to all.

  9. Teekay1

+1 to CHIPS post. We are very lucky to be around our friends and family. And while I know they “signed up” for it, I’m sure they would rather be here. Our troops are the SHIT and that’s a massive understatement as it is.

On to the WOD. 9:08 for me. No Rx as Lance was barking at me to lock out my PUs in th first couple rounds. I thought about throwing something at him, but realized he is the Coach. And as a former Coach, I know Coaches are right 99.9% of the time. :) So – I gotta work on locking out my PUs and continue to fet better. I killed the first 5 Rds in just under three minutes, but my goddamn lower back started in on me and made 185 feel like 385. :)

Now for the shout-outs. JMo Effed up this mother Effin WOD. She crushed it – Rx – don’t remember exactly, but Sub-9 for sure. Lots of sweat left behind by: Peg, Indy, Marky Mark, Pop Tart, Shuk, Briggs, and some others. Great Music. Great Energy. Great Coaching. Great WOD. Peace out peeps. TK

  10. Vegas

I decided to man up and go to the Station, even though I knew this was a WOD that CK would crush me on. Still, glad I did. It was a lot of fun AFTER the WOD doing ab work, prowler work (4 plates, sucks) and sandbag runs with Captain 8 pack and CSI.

    CK – 1
Vegas – 0 (12:26RX. The board says 12:27 but according to CSI the board is wrong!)

  11. Rae Rae

Go Big Daddy! Vegas, missed you this morning…especially since I would have beat you too!!! Love my rooster Fridays!

  12. Vegas

    Check out Hope:

    http://hope.crossfit.com/

    “Hope”
    Three rounds of:
    Burpees
    75 pound Power snatch
    Box jump, 24″ box
    75 pound Thruster
    Chest to bar Pull-ups

“Hope” has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep.

CrossFit for Hope will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The goal is to raise 1.7MM – one day’s operating cost for St. Jude – to combat childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Register to participate or find an athlete or affiliate to sponsor and join the fight.

  13. CSI

Vegas, it was definitely 12:26! Lots of fun after too, I love that the Station has so many fun toys now. Vegas and “Captain 8 Pack” lol let’s make it a Friday tradition, shall we? Fun BIG crowd this AM, glad to see Sporty is finally breaking down and becoming a rooster… ;) 11:24 105# for me today. Thanks Queen for pushing us, no one stops to rest for more than the allowed 3-2-1 when you’re around, that’s for sure!

  14. Nina/Giggles

Wow….what a packed 9:30 at tc! Way to control the masses today april :) Loved wodding with randy again and seeing so many great faces! 14 something for me with 95#….have a great long weekend everyone!

  15. CK

Vegas – You were coming no matter what since Queen was there. Besides, this one could’ve went either way. Nothing like me driving at 5:45 am to the Garage knowing I don’t have a chance in hell on DUB days.

The WOD was quick, but it was “fun” keeping it going afterwords with a nice ab workout, prowlers (not so fun) and sandbag runs. I agree that this should become the Friday tradition. We need to make sure Queen keeps doing Friday’s so Vegas will get his ass out here.

  16. WHITEBREAD

Aaaaahhh,, how I miss the smell of roadside bombs and gunshots in the morning, great post CHIPS, thank a service member this weekend:)
    Thanks Hardcore!!

  17. Baby Huey

Awesome work put in by the 9:30 Peeps at HQ. Loved the intensity and speed from everyone! Way to get it done!
Shout out to Hero! All the times I’ve coached him I’ve never had to tell him to “extend all the way,” “keep your back straight,” or “use your hips.” This guy knows how to apply his technique, and isn’t ego driven to the point that all he cares about is going RX’d. He knows when to push it and when to back of, what his strengths are and where he needs to improve. Definitely a Type I CrossFit athlete in my book. Way to keep that intensity up man!
5:55 RX for me… now time to get over this cold :P

  18. Lisa

Chips, I love this: ” I will enjoy my weekend on the backs of people willing to die in my place. God Bless our troops, keep them safe and may their aim be truer than the enemy.” I trained at the Miami VA long ago and have a special place in my heart for all vets.
WOD report: I couldn’t miss TS with Queen today. Love deadlifting, but maybe everyone does. I completed the WOD at 105# and then added weight afterwards to do another 10 reps at 135#. Good times! HMD weekend, everyone!

  19. iPod

    13:25Rx…800m run for fun afterwards.
iPod iNsight of the day…i’Ve been known to video myself WOD’ing on occasion, real reason aside, iReviewed todays tape & was able to see just how poorly iWas DL’ing & the obvious reason for my back ache during the WOD. While having great coaches to help us with form & tell us what to do or what we need to change is great, SEEING yourself doing it incorrectly makes a big difference & is very helpful. i’M available for parties(:->

  20. fresh

i liked this one…13:39 RX for me today…appparently my time was a little better than that because Govi informed me that I did too many reps on most rounds and that I can’t count to 10 very well…12 or 13 seemed better i guess lol…anyway, thanks Govi for getting my ass moving…Painkiller it was nice to have you WOD right next to me with Joey and Jnutts right near me too…nice push from all i have to say, great job coaching April and refraining from getting angry with the talkative 9:30 crew! we love you :)

  21. HERO

Kind words Logan thank you very much. I’m hoping that during and after this 24 day challenge I can start stepping it up again and joining the RX ranks again without sacraficing intensity. P.S. Found my jump rope at The Station.

  22. Lisa

I just watched the video above of CFHC in the 2008 games, and WOW! Queen, Lance, and Bionic, you haven’t aged a day in four years. It’s so rare in sports to be able to watch your coach/trainer compete at the top of their game and simultaneously be able to train under them. Yet, that’s what we have at CFHC-coaches who currently perform at an elite level while sharing their expertise with us. Pretty phenomenal opportunity if you ask me.
See you all for the Saturday AM WOD at TS (if I can walk tomorrow morning after all of those deadlifts today!).

  23. WHITEBREAD

Well, not too bad,11:58, I was hoping for a lot better….it’s sooooo hot and humid here.
    Thanks Hardcore!!

  24. CSI

Cyborg, 4:18 reallllly? I hope you brought your bottle of spray-on sweat since i doubt it was raining. show-off. ;) . Haha you are a machine, just awesome to watch!

  25. Sara/H4T

I went in with a plan…DLs @125# and pushups in 5s and did pretty well until round 6 where digging deep was a necessity. THEN, for rounds 9 and 10 I was granted 10# more for fun. ;) Duces was all I could hear Tino say between my lactic acid build up and whatever else was going on with my body at that point. 22:48 finished and felt like a different person than when I walked in the door.
    Stronger today than yesterday.
    THANKS TINOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :D

  26. Troy

This is my first time posting but I wanted to give D-Rock a shout out for the push today. Their is no way I would have finished in 11:21 if I didn’t partner up with you. To the Hardcore crew, its only been 3 months for me doing Crossfit and I couldn’t ask for better results. I’m addicted to this. I’ve lost 17 pounds without changing my diet and by the way I’m Puertorican and I love my arroz con habichuelas (rice and beans) lol.
