24:33RX? That was somewhat fun! But hated the runs. The amazing trio Laurie, Patrick and TK, kicked this Wod’s ass! They are truly unfreakinbelievable! First thing Laurie (Fred) said was ” I don’t think I can do 65 HPS” Well my amazing friend you were completely wrong! Great job! HAPPY 2013 CFHC Family!

I would like to add my goal on here since I missed the last blog, I would like to bring CFHC to the Midwest (past my garage/basement)…..now for thus WOD, farmer walk will suck since the snow is currently falling.

I’m really torn on my fitness goals. I mean, goal one is to clean up my diet and get back in shape, basically.
But I don’t know if I want it to be a strength focused year or speed and endurance. I made great strides in 2012 going from very weak to what I’d say is “medium” strength. My CF Total went from 125+245+305 = 675 to 150+315+405 = 870. I don’t expect to add another 200# to the total, but I’d love to get closer to that 1000 mark. At the same time, my running and endurance dipped in 2012, as I gained weight. So…once I decide which I’m focusing on, I’ll know what my goal is. It’s either a 950 Total or a 6:30/21:00 Mile/5K.
Sorry to have missed the 6 am crew. Tardy and Princess – thanks for the wake up texts. I turn my phone off so it didn’t do any good. 7 am at TG – 31:07 with 65#. I didn’t think I could do 65# either K1! Those farmers walks suck on the way back, just saying. All in all, I liked this one, feeling more confident today with the 65#OHS squats. Still practicing, but a little better than last time.

So – had a fun morning with TG Roosters. I’ll apologize now, but I don’t remember my time. Could be 22ish? Anyway – had an excellent end of the year pep talk from Turbo and then we were off. The Farmer’s Walk went much slower than I thought it should. I’m kinda with iPod on the running. Good energy this morning. It was nice running/walking by each other – with the “drive-by” encouragement. Good times were had by all.
Busy New Year’s Eve at TS 8:30 with Coach Snail! What a treat to have the Queen herself WOD with the rest of us today. After Saturday, this one didn’t seem so bad. Caveat: Farmer’s Carry. My forearms totally cramped on that one, and I would rather stab myself in the eyeball than do that again. 19:45Rx.
CFHC has made 2012 a really neat year for us, and I thank all of you for that. Mike and I often talk about how amazed we both are that we can meet so many fantastic people in one place. There’s just nothing quite like it, and I am thankful to know all of you. Looking forward to another year of fun(ishment) with all of you! Happy New Year!

Thanks to Lance and Queen for putting together the WOD’s, I am sure there is a method to your madness that I will never figure out, all I know is that it works! Thanks to the coaches for all the instruction and one on one work when we need it. Plus acting as Drill Instructors and pushing us. Jvic thanks for bringing me into CF in 2011 and then taking my fitness to the next level with the 24 Day Challenge which was life changing.
@ Vegas I am by no means a CF coach or any kind of coach for that matter but I say work on speed and getting lean. My Doctor always says the key to longevity is being lean. Since I have been doing CF and the 24 Day Challenge all of my blood work, weight, Heart Rate etc has improved dramaticaly. My resting HR was like 47 BPM last May during my physical. I’ll admit I am not as strong with some of the weights as I once was but I am faster running than I was at 18 in the Marines and in better over all shape than ever in my life. Then again I never did OHS, snatches and HSPU type lifts either. I bet if you do the Challenge a few times, workout hard and do Jvic’s run class at least once a week you do a 5k in less than 21 minutes by end of year. Just my 2 cents brother. How about a guest appearence of at TS rooster class sometime.

It was awesome to WOD with queen and the TS 830 crew New Year’s Eve … And then come back and WOD at station New Years Day with Decay and rest of the CSI’s followers….lol if you don’t know CSI stands for crazy sick individuals….haha it was a packed house and lots of fun….oxygen was hard to find for me today… Finished strong in 2012 at 19:11 and started off 2013 with a bang chasing down pony ,snail,psycho and beef.. Great job to everyone that showed up ….
I think I was around 29 minutes w/ 45# lifting and 35# KBs. Holy Farmer’s Walk….I think this was my FIRST time doing a Farmer’s Walk in a WOD! Talk about forearm killer!!!!!!! Those pullups were a joke after!
