The training offered by CrossFit HardCore is performed in a group setting, at pre-determined times throughout the day. Each group training class offered on a particular day conducts the same workout of the day, or “WOD.” If you miss a morning class, you can pick up an evening class without missing a beat. Classes are lead by a head instructor or “coach.” Group Training Classes are infinitely scalable according to the needs, strengths, and weaknesses of each athlete. Additionally, select elements of each workout can be customized to suit the capabilities, fitness-level, or fitness goals of each attendee.
Workouts are typically short—30 minutes or less—and intense, demanding all-out physical exertion. They combine movements such as sprinting, rowing, jumping rope, climbing rope, flipping tires, weightlifting, carrying heavy objects, and many bodyweight exercises; equipment used includes barbells, dumbbells, gymnastics rings, pull-up bars, kettlebells, medicine balls, and boxes for box jumps. These elements are mixed in numerous combinations to form prescribed "Workouts of the Day" or ""WODs"
The Rx is probably one of the first things a CrossFitter strives for. It is simply a standard for how each movement should be performed. Rx also is a used as a standard for how much weight will be used while performing the movement. To achieve Rx a Crossfitter must complete each rep of a specific exercise the correct way. This is by no means a way to discourage anyone but rather sets a level of performance to strive for. We all like to compete – in a friendly way – against each other, so we must keep the standards the same in order to compare times/strength correctly. Your first goal should be to BETTER YOURSELF, we always say that “TIME” is secondary to form. Who cares if you got first but you didn’t push yourself as hard as you could have and/or your form looks like shit.
Crossfit Hardcore’s endurance class is for everyone. Power and speed are important components of the endurance world. This class is for crossfitters, endurance athletes, and those who would like to work on their stamina or form of running. The class teaches the "Pose Method" of running. It will incorporate drills to perfect form and function for proper running mechanics. These technique principles have proven to speed recovery time, increase performance, and reduce injuries. The class is diversified each week with different workouts. It also focuses on proper warm up, stretching, and mobility to improve function and level of output.
